Lord I Want to See, Pastor Rick Rapp

Last Sunday I shared the theme for 2020 "Lord I want to see". That is the cry of my heart. I want to see what God sees. I want you to see what God sees. I want us all to see what God sees.

Jesus had a different perspective than anyone else. He saw things differently. He saw what His Father saw and as a result He only did what His Father said to do. That is the model we need to follow in our lives especially this year, the year 2020. Lord I want to see!!!

So, how do we do that? What can we do in order to see what God sees?

WHAT IS MY PART?

  1. Be a student of God's Word. Read God's Word as if it is true, because it is. Apply each story to your own life. Believe what it says.

  2. Develop a prayer life. Pray without ceasing. Believe that prayer makes a difference.

  3. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Believe that the Lord will open your eyes to see what He sees.

In the Book of Exodus we read that on several occasions God called Moses to the top of Mt. Sinai to meet with Him. It took effort on Moses' part to climb to the top of the mountain. But it was there that God met with him.

Jesus would get up early and go to a deserted place to meet with God (Mark 1:35, Luke 6:12, Mark 6:46, Matthew 14:23).

"There's a private place reserved for the lovers of God where they sit near Him and receive the revelation-secrets of His promises." Psalm 24:14, Passion Translation

The key to 2020, is to have eyes to see what God sees, is to find that private place on a regular basis and sit near Him. It will take effort on your part but it will be worth it.

It will be life changing!
