Your Prayers Matter, Pastor Rick Rapp

January 6, 2016

2016 has already proved to be a year of revelation and vision. During our week of prayer and fasting, God gave specific insight into our kingdom purpose for the coming year.

On Tuesday morning, as we joined together for group prayer, God begin to give Nancy Wigley a vision of His presence, a vision over our city and an insight of the power of our prayers.  The first thing God began to declare is that we have been called to bless our city, called to speak words of blessing over Roswell and to demonstrate the goodness of God by blessing our city through what we do.

"By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, But by the mouth of the wicked it is torn down."

                              -Proverbs 11:11 NAS

"And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray unto Jehovah for it; for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace." Jeremiah 29:7 AS

After this the Lord said "Come into my presence, into the Holy of Holies" When we stepped into His presence there was a single candle, but it's light began to illuminate as the sun.

"Blessed are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk into  the light of your presence, LORD." Ps 89:15 NLT

From this the Spirit of God transported Nancy into a city that was filled with darkness, each street seemed to be engrossed in a thick, heavy, dark atmosphere. Then she saw a mighty army equipped with every kind of arsenal. They entered the city and begin to march through every dark avenue. The Lord showed her that this was the Army of God and though the light could not be seen with natural eyes, they were bringing forth the light of God's presence into the darkness. They had every weapon they needed to defeat the enemy and to liberate those in the darkness.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.  2 Cor 10:4

From there the scene shifted to a small room with a small child on her knees praying to God. The Lord spoke and said, "Your prayers matter."
